Had to post this, purely for the reason that I've never managed to create convincing rain before either free hand or digitally, but for the first time ever I've come up with something that I'm fairly happy with. I imagine that most folks came up with this result some years ago, but for me this is a breakthrough, especially as the current strip I'm working on relies on the heavy usage of a LOT of rain.
Hopefully, come the morning I won't have forgotten how I created this astounding new technique!
When you've figured out how you did it, any chance of a tutorial? I think I can see what you did, but it would be nice to see how you got there.
