Armageddon Patrol
This is a cover I produced a few years ago for John A. Short's Armageddon Patrol. The story followed a group of super-powered characters drafted into the Vietnam conflict. I did 3 or 4 of these covers at the time and felt very pleased with the fact that they were my first colour covers, and the comics themselves were produced to a professional standard at American comic sizes. I actually felt like I was doing proper comix! There are some things here that I'd do a lot differently now (the blurred bullet casings f'instance), but I think the image still stands up okay. I've actually deepened the colours here and 'dirtied' things up a bit - the original looks a bit too clean for the jungles of Vietnam! I believe John still has some of the comics available over on his blog here.

Third and final, I think. I thought the last one had too much dead space at the top. And the extra space I've added on the left, gives the image more room to breath.

Punk Girl
Another character sketch from my current work in progress. Not only do I get to draw punky girls, but also splash pages of giant robots on the rampage. Does it get any better than that? My initial sketch of this character looked a bit too Vince Noir for my liking, but I managed to fix that a bit.
